Getting Back into the Swing of Things

Well, it has been a long slog! I guess I'm of an age that it's fix or stop! Stopping wasn't an option, so—soldiering forward!

My body started going amiss over two years ago. Arthritis was starting to create real challenges for me to work, so the wonderful medical people in Drumheller helped me to queue up for hip replacement #1 in the spring of 2025.

Many evaluations, tests, and consultations later—Medicine Hat Hospital and my appointment for my left hip.

Recovery was fair, but slow. I had to stay off working for most of the summer and started getting back into longarming in the fall. Work was not too much for me, but I knew my days were numbered, and by Christmas, my doctor and his people decided hip #2 would have to go.

I am happy to say that the Canadian Medical System is working well indeed. By the following May, I had #2 done and was on my way to recovery—even more speedily this time than last.

Well, I am back in fighting trim and ready to work. My wonderful customers have been SO supportive. I have orders coming in again and am happily quilting away in my happy spot. Thank you all for not giving up on me!

Prices remain much the same, I am happy to say—you can see my prices here if you are curious. Let me know if you have something for me to work on. I am happy to be of service.

See you soon!
